10am: Meet at Brookland-CUA metro.

We will walk to the Fransciscan Monastery, discussing the history of  Brookland – Washington’s “Little Rome”.  We will tour the exterior of the Monastery,  learning the unique role of the Franciscans in the Holy Land, and enjoying the beautiful rose garden which (hopefully) will be in its full glory for our visit.    End at the Monastery at noon.
